Pennatillie is ideally situated in central Cornwall. We are
only a few minutes from the A39 (the Atlantic Highway) which is
one of the main roads through Cornwall.
Newquay, Padstow and Wadebridge are all 15 minutes by car from Pennatillie. Newquay is a
thriving town with the most wonderful world famous beaches,
ideal for surfing and swimming.
Padstow is a village situated on the Camel Estuary. It
has an excellent choice of restaurants and pubs, nearly all
located around the harbour. In the last few years Padstow has
become well known as the home of famous chef Rick Stein,
where he owns a number of businesses including of course “The
Seafood Restaurant”.
Wadebridge is a town situated beside the River Camel and
has many individual shops to keep you occupied for a few hours.
This is a small selection of places you can visit on the North
Coast. Angela is happy to give you many recommendations and
could keep you busy for weeks!
As to visitor attractions, again there are too many to name
here, a few being The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of
Heligan (both 30 minutes by car from the farm). Two National
Trust Properties – Lanhydrock House and Trerice are also less
than 30 minutes from us.
Cornwall is renowned for its fine restaurants and friendly pubs,
there are such a great selection from specialist fish
restaurants to steak houses and Angela is happy to offer
recommendations and if required, book tables on your behalf.
An
example of one such restaurant is Viners at Summercourt
(www.vinersrestaurant.co.uk)
which shows you the excellent quality of food in Cornwall.
